  MAybe the GB are beginning to understand that people, even JW', have different talents. And that a lot of JW are bored to death because they can't use their talent. I think they are going to "normalize" JW lifestyle a bit...the have to, they are losing the best of the young.

  And maybe they will reduce D2D preaching....so the JW's will get more time for doing this stuff.

  i have been back to meetings for a month now.

  prepared for them all except for when i went on holiday.. todays wt is about jehovah's organisation, it's clear loaded language and manipulation through fear.

  i am not perturbed by it in the least.

  Have you reconnected with ex-JW's after you have left the Borg?

  after reading from another thread, i felt it was worth asking this question.. if you left the borg on your own, have you attempted to meet others whom you used to be connected with while you were "in", but who have also become ex-jw's before or after you have left the wts?

  if that's the case, has it remained a friendship, or the connection grew cold?

  just curious as to what keeps friendships "stick" [or not] once you no longer have the borg's doctrinal glue.. your experiences are welcome.. eden.

  today at work a co-worker of mine and i were having lunch at a nearby establishment.

  he is what you would call a c&e christian in that he basically attends church only for the christmas and easter services, though he definitely says he believes in god.. he said that he just recently caught an episode of a crime/forensic show that featured a man from new jersey named john list who was also known locally as the "bogeyman of westfield.

  " list became infamous for murdering his entire family consisting of his wife, three children and his mother on november 9, 1971. see below link for more data.. on the tv show the narrator commented there were a few reasons why he did it.

  so, i'm at mcdonald's and there is a 50ish woman signing with a 70ish woman.. should i?.

  i must.. so, a good version of my favourite video is shown to them on my phone, and we spent about 15 minutes watching it, asking questions, mostly laughing, they were writing down the scriptures from the video to check at home what the bible says.. then, after i'm done my coffee, i go back to their table with a note on a napkin.. "now you girls be good when you get home.".

  the 70-year-old must have peed her pants from laughing.. .

  No, there still one match left in the qualification group.

  I would guess that Germany will beat the USA and ...but it's more difficullt to make guess about Portugal versus Ghana. Normally Portugal should beat Ghana.....but during this world cup noone knows. So far the US and Ghana has been playing well, but Portugal has underperformed. Ghana may beat Portugal.

  But if Germany and the US make a draw (play equal) like 1-1 or 2-2, both Germany and the US will advance to 1/8 finals
